MC.59: What do you want your computer to do for you?
Anthropic released a new API called Computer Use, check demos and what it means for the future of work. Plus this week has been full of AI drops, I gathered the 4 top ones.
Hey everyone,
What would you like your computer to do for you?
A question that takes on a new meaning with Anthropic's announcement of their Computer Use API.
We're entering a new world. 👇
AI controlling your computer to solve tasks for you.
Ever wondered why ChatGPT developed a desktop app? Now you know. This is the natural next step.
AI will be able to control your computer way before a humanoid robot breaks things in your kitchen.
I'm thrilled to be working on this future with Alter. Me and my team are focusing on MacOS because you need more than screenshots to understand and solve real user tasks on a computer.
Anthropic is pushing the industry forward faster, and I’m grateful for that.
Look at what people already built 24 hours after the announcement:
Kyle Corbitt built a MacOS agent in 6 hours - you’ll see that the agent gets the date all wrong when booling a travel, we’re not there yet.
So, what tasks would you want an AI to handle on your computer?
Reply with your ideas! 💌

P.S. This week has been massive for AI, here’s a list of the top news:
Ideogram Canvas - An infinite creative board for organizing, generating, editing, and combining images.
Genmo Mochi 1 - A state-of-the-art open-source model to generate videos
Runway Act-One - Generate expressive character performance in videos.
Stable Diffusion 3.5 - Generate images with better adherence to instructions.
Proxy, the AI Agent for Everyday Life
Imagine if you had a digital clone to do your tasks for you. Well, meet Proxy…
Last week, Convergence, the London based AI start-up revealed Proxy to the world, the first general AI Agent.
Users are asking things like “Book my trip to Paris and find a restaurant suitable for an interview” or “Order a grocery delivery for me with a custom weekly meal plan”.
You can train it how you choose, so all Proxy’s are different, and personalised to how you teach it. The more you teach it, the more it learns about your personal work flows and begins to automate them.
