MC.56: Notebook LM, Google's killer new app

I just played around with Google's Notebook LM, and wow - it's the best implementation of a RAG system I’ve seen so far. But the magic is not even there:

Notebook LM is Google's new toy that turns your notes into a full-blown podcast. No scripting, no recording, no editing. Just feed it some content and boom - you've got a realistic show.

1. It creates a natural conversation between two hosts. I fed it just three pages from my startup Alter, and it crafted a 9-minute chat that actually made sense.

2. The AI captures your content's essence. If it struggles to convey your message, it might be a sign your content needs work. It's like an instant clarity check for your writing.

3. You can upload up to 50 sources. That's a lot of material to work with.

4. It's ridiculously easy to use. Upload your content, hit generate, and wait a few minutes.

Expect businesses to produce engaging podcasts from their blog posts or newsletters in the coming month. Or students turning their study notes into audio lessons.

If you want to try it, I made a tutorial on Youtube where I paired it with Alter to create a cover image and webpage for the podcast. A pretty powerful combo!
